Our rates are based on a $15/hour design rate. Rates for document production and web hosting are based on the cost of the materials and the labor involved. Upon contacting Miller Design Studio, you will receive a specific written estimate for the job you wish to be done, based on our flat rates. For example, the flat rate for a complete website is $280. That means no other charges (except applicable taxes) will be added to your invoice. Call or e-mail for our current flat rates.
Is payment due up front or upon completion?
Payment is due upon completion of most projects. We reserve the right to require a deposit on all orders over $200.
What is the process for website design?
First, a Miller Design Studio designer meets with the client, preferably in person but also on the phone or via e-mail. They discuss the goals and target audience of the business, preferred domain names, existing company websites, and industry-specific terms.
Second, Miller Design Studio creates three mockup web designs and submits PDF proofs to the client. Miller Design Studio also secures the domain name and hosting account unless the client has an existing account.
Third, the client notes his preference regarding the three proofs. Miller Design Studio develops the preferred site.
Fourth, Miller Design Studio creates the actual web site and posts it on a secure Internet page for the client to view.
Fifth, Miller Design Studio activates all forms, finalizes the html code, and posts the site on the World Wide Web.
Finally, Miller Design Studio submits the site to search engine, industry directories, and related blogs.
